So here's the deal, I've recently been told that blogging about what is happening in my life is a good way to get things out in the open. I'm not entirely sure that anyone will in fact read this blog, but on the off chance that you stumble upon my post, you may want the background of my story.
In order to keep identities a secret, I'll be using made up names for entirely real people and place.
The first on my list is me of course. I have no reason to give myself a name, simply because I'll be telling the stories. However, here is a little about me. I have recently started college at a university about two hours away from my home. I live in North Carolina, but that's about as much of a location that I'll give (like I said, everything will have a code name.). I have a very tight-knit group of friends. We've been together for many, many years, and I would have to say out of every group that I have, these are my best. They will be referred to as my church friends, or River friends.
River Friends, here they all are. There's my sister, Belle, best girl friend Ariel, best guy friend Nate, and finally my close, but strange friend Rupert. Now there are other friends that associate with this group, but these are the main ones.
We'll begin with Belle. Belle is three years older than I, and we're both at the same university. We're alike in many ways; we both love family and understand how strong our bond of sisterhood is, we associate with the same people, and our personalities are so similar, we sometimes butt heads. Nevertheless, I love her, and even though she has done some pretty awful things to me in the past, we've managed to move past them, or I hope we have.
My greatest, and dearest friend Ariel, has been given this nickname because of her blazing red hair. She is a fireball, but the preacher's daughter. Unlike many preacher's kids, she isn't one to act out, or misbehave. In fact, anytime that something outlandish is mentioned, she becomes very self-conscious and tries her best to get out of our plans. She's so perfect in every way, and that just makes all of the boys want her, except for the one she wanted the most. But that too, will come.
Next is my favorite person in the world, and possibly the person I miss the most while I'm away at college, Nate. Nate is the greatest friend a girl could ask for. He's exceptionally country, a bit of a rebel child, but only to appease his mother. Don't let that bother you though, he'd do anything for me, at least that's what he tells me. We have sort of an interesting relationship, and if you'd ask the right person, they'd say it was more than a friendship, but that's where we are now.
Finally in the River group, there's Rupert. Rupert is oh so strange, and just plain odd. But he has been with us for quite some time, about six years I'd say, and so he's managed to become a very good friend. He tends to be there for me when I need someone to speak to. Something about him though, I truly believe he might be gay. I don't have a problem with this, please don't assume that I do, I'd just prefer for him to admit it. We'd all love him just the same.
Now before I bore you to death, these are all of the friends I'll be discussing for today's entry. And no further groups will be brought up until you hear this delightful story. But my listeners, that is another story for another day. I feel as though I've brought you enough for a first reading, but please, if you do read this, comment to let me know. I'd love to hear from you.
XOXO,
College Girl
